SIMON OLIVER - HE BANGS THE DRUMS

Behind the kit is Mr Simon Oliver he's the engine room of the band making the beats that will make you and your guests look good on the dance floor. 




How do you prepare for a gig? Do you get excited? Nervous?
Usually a sandwich and a can of coke, I try to stay calm before we perform to keep the adrenaline down.

What's your favourite song that Jukebox performs and why?
Any Bruno Mars song, they have so much energy and they are just great tunes.

What song would you like to see Jukebox perform?
Toto – Rosanna. It's a brilliant tune!

If you could work with one musician dead or alive, who would it be? And you can only choose one!
Freddie Mercury! That guy knew how to work a crowd, and wrote some incredible songs.

What do you do outside of Jukebox?
I'm on a MA in composition at the University Of Salford, I also play for the worlds leading brass band, the Black Dyke Band.

What's your favourite part of a Wedding?
Seeing people dancing to the music we play.

Suit or Tux for wedding?
A suit if i'm a guest, I’ve not thought about it if it were me getting married.

How would you describe a Jukebox performance?
It's a lively experience full of energy and it's a hell of a lot of fun! 

In your opinion what's the best thing about Jukebox and how do we differ from your normal function bands?
Jukebox has a passion and focus to deliver the best entertainment for each event. Each performance is as personal to us as it is to the client! Oh and our incredibly handsome rhythm section, especially Dave!
