Q&A SESSIONS
How do you prepare for a gig? Do you get excited? Nervous?
I don't really get nervous before a gig. I don't have any particular routines that I go through other than a short warm up, drink plenty of water, and just hang around with the band before we take the stage.
What's your favourite song that Jukebox performs and why?
Crazy in Love. It's so full of energy. It may be a killer on the chops for the horn section, but it always gets a great response from the crowd.
What song would you like to see Jukebox perform?
I would love to play some Earth Wind and Fire stuff. If I have to choose just one I'd say “September”. Such a funky tune.
If you could work with one musician dead or alive, who would it be? And you can only choose one!
Freddie Mercury. The man had it all. He could write music as well as anyone out there and had such a versatile voice that no one can match. The guy was a born entertainer and and absolute legend!
What do you do outside of Jukebox?
I am currently training to be a music teacher. I am also involved in the Drum and Bugle Corps activity where I teach and write for various groups throughout the UK. I am also a big Liverpool FC fan, so I spend a lot of time watching them play, or playing football myself.
What's your favourite part of a Wedding?
I love to see everyone on the dance floor letting loose and having a good time!
Suit or Tux for wedding
For the Band, a suit. It looks smart but also has a somewhat relaxed feel to it.
You're also the brains behind the Jukebox logo designs, how did you come up with the design and the different colours schemes for each band?
Yeah. I wanted to keep the designs sleek and stylish, just like the band. I feel the colours really represent the different characteristics of each set up, and the striking colour combinations really reflect our unique and professional approach to our gigs.
The logo itself is based on the design of the classic jukeboxes of the 50s, set off with a 50s style typeface
How would you describe a Jukebox performance?
Fun, Entertaining, Unique and Dynamic
In your opinion what's the best thing about Jukebox and how do we differ from your normal function bands?
We're a good bunch of people first and foremost. We enjoy each other’s company and through that we enjoy making music together.
What are you looking forward to most with Jukebox in 2014?
I am looking forward to the band growing in profile and getting more exposure and playing in front of more and more people as we go.
